Isolation #5

Another in the weekly challenge series between Carl and me.  I’ve greatly missed the ability to get out and shoot during this beautiful spring due to Covid-19 shelter in place rules, but these challenges have helped fill the creative void.

Isolation #4

That time when you need to create, but sheltering in place limits your ability to leave the house to photograph?  What to do?  Create ways to create.  🙂 My bud Carl and I challenged each other to a given theme for a couple of weeks.  It was a fun challenge!

Isolation #3

Pandemic in Blue … part 2 of Saturday’s walk.

Isolation #2

Shelter in Place had me longing for a walkabout, so my son-in-law Evan met up at a local small town to stretch our legs with camera in tow.  The town is virtually shutdown for the pandemic, being made up of small business.  We honored the 6 foot rule, and we only saw a few passers-by.  Long […]

Sun on the Horizon

From the Naples Botanical Gardens.  This segment of a wall of ceramic tiles is a lovely metaphor for the sunny, warm days Kathy and I spent visiting family.  Design is everything!

Marriott Marquis – Atlanta

A revisit to an old friend.  This is such a fun place to photograph, and this time around, it was even better because I was able to share the experience with my friend Carl.  Thanks for visiting, bud!

The Corner

Abstract images have always caught my attention, maybe because they evoke a question of mystery and what lies within.  On a recent walk to my bus stop after work, I came to this familiar corner with an awesome restaurant space with patio.  The restaurant recently closed, unfortunately.  I peered inside one of the windows, and […]

Hometown Park

Throughout my childhood and teen years, I played tons of tennis, baseball and basketball at this hometown park.  I spent more time here than I can imagine calculating.  While on a recent visit, I had fun checking out the park for the first time in decades.   The configuration of fields and courts have changed, […]

Passages 2.0

Two of my favorite small cities are Chattanooga and Asheville.  Each has a small city feel with tons to offer, including an eclectic flare for the arts and creativity. This small alley in Chattanooga, called “Passages 2.0”, is an example of how the city continues to transform old, historical architecture into new and vibrant creations.  I […]

Morning at the Museum #1 – Labyrinth

Another fun visit to the High Museum of Art.  We frequent it at least 3-4 times a year.  Exhibits do not disappoint, nor do observations of the museum’s architecture and patrons.
