A Puddle’s Eye View

Project 365 – Day 40

“People only see what they are prepared to see.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

We often confine our thoughts, our vision, our creativity to the familiar.  To the concepts we grew up with, or to what we perceive others want us to do or be.  When we step away from these and free ourselves of needless worries and wants, we open our minds to see the before-unseen.  As the sky cleared of rain this afternoon, puddles looked like obstacles.   Walk closer and look harder – beautiful shapes and reflections appear, like the trees in this small pool.
