About

My name is Mark Sisco, and I love the creative process of photography.  Creating landscape, nature, and editorial images are my favorites photographic genres by far.

I thought about starting a blog, but procrastinated for a long time (years).  While planning and preparing to teach a landscape and nature workshop in Yellowstone with my best bud Carl Gandolfo in 2010, I committed that I would use the trip as a catalyst.  Our trip was  a wonderful experience, as is each and every opportunity I have to photograph and share via this blog.

One of my favorite photographers, Craig Tanner, was a huge inspiration when I first started becoming more serious about the craft.  There’s a never ending list of photographers who have inspired me for the better part of 20 years now, and I discover new ones all the time.  Most notably, I have my brother Larry to thank for initiating this obsessive interest almost 40 years ago.  He was an aspiring photography student in college, and he took the time to teach me the essentials and share his curiosity for being creative.

Enjoy, and thanks for allowing me to share my journeys and images with you.
