{"id":714,"date":"2012-09-30T21:18:20","date_gmt":"2012-10-01T01:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/marksisco.com\/blog\/?p=714"},"modified":"2012-09-30T21:18:20","modified_gmt":"2012-10-01T01:18:20","slug":"lush","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marksisco.com\/?p=714","title":{"rendered":"Lush"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A picture is worth &#8230;.\u00a0\u00a0 Everyone knows how to complete this sentence.\u00a0 It is often cliche, but oh so true.<\/p>\n<p>The forests of Oregon, and in this case the Columbia River Gorge area, are lush beyond belief.\u00a0 I hope this image does justice to this fact.\u00a0 And if so, just imagine what it must be like in the spring after the rainy season, the winter&#8217;s snow, and the amazing amount of runoff from the mountain streams.\u00a0 This particular image was captured during the driest part of the year.\u00a0 The area was incredibly dusty in general. not to mention the trails and ground being as hard as boulders,\u00a0 But take note of the incredible heartiness of the ferns and greenery in this driest of dry seasons!<\/p>\n<p>I captured this image along Trail 400 between Ainsworth Campground and Ponytail Falls.
