Kathy and I went to Tombs from the Tombs, a fun music event in Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery, a few weeks back. That’s right – a cemetery. It’s a great time, and funds go to helping maintain this incredible historic venue that goes back to Civil War times. The heat was unusually mild, so it […]

The dust is starting to settle from a spectacular wedding celebration – Mr. and Mrs. Evan Ranft. We are incredibly proud and thankful for Katie and Evan, their “big day”, and everything the future has to bring for them. They were meant for each other, and God is looking down on them and guiding them. […]

Re-posting two photos from years past in honor of the Paris terrorist attack victims. My heart and prayers go out to the families of those murdered, hurt, and terrorized by such cowardly and hateful acts. I am thankful to God for protecting my sister-in-law Dorine, and her sister Carol, who were there visiting.

After a few postponements and multiple destination considerations, Kathy and I decided to celebrate our 30th anniversary with a trip to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. I love anything to do with a national park and the outdoors, and Kathy has been very intrigued by the western U.S. since her 2014 trip […]

One week ago I had the honor of photographing Jackson on his wedding day. His family and ours have a close friendship, having spent many times together at church and with our kids in school over the years. He’s a great “kid” with a solid upbringing and a promising future. Congratulations to Jackson and Megan!

Project 365 – Day 116 Friday was a huge day! My youngest was proposed to, so we have a wedding in our future! I was away Friday, so I didn’t get to hug her or grab a quick photo. Saturday was a “bust” as well because she had to work into the evening. So FINALLY […]

Project 365 – Day 93 Don’t you love it when a child experiences something new and exciting for the first time? Like today – Syd’s first go down a real slide? Or her first cup of ice cream (also today, but she was perched in my lap 🙂 )? At this age, almost every day […]

Project 365 – Day 85 Tonight I covered a high school art show for my friend Glenn. It’s a very well organized event. I was amazed at the broad range of talent from this group. The event also included performing arts, mainly dance and music. The musical talent, especially pianists, was also very impressive. Today’s […]

Project 365 – Day 45 Checkout the profile of people in this photo. It’s virtually an equal blend of color. Kathy and I saw “Selma” on Valentine’s Day. We only make it to the theater a few times a year. Once we decided on celebrating the day with a movie, we were stumped on what […]

Project 365 – Day 44 Each year Kathy and I photograph a father-daughter Valentine’s dance for a local set of girl scout troops. Dads and their little princesses come dressed to the nines – cute as can be! It is always a fun event, and one we’ve been doing for 10 years or so now. […]

Project 365 – Day 34 February 3rd – Happy Birthday to my true love and best friend, Kathy! Poor girl had to work not only today, but tonight as well. So there would be no family birthday dinner or celebratory photos taken of my sweetheart. Just adoration of everything she means to me, which is […]

Project 365 – Day 31 30+ years at one company has afforded Kathy and me the blessing of meeting many incredible people. Some have become life long friends with whom we still meet up, even though we’ve gone in separate career directions. Kathy rendezvoused with Donna, Julie, and Diana for a fun night of […]
