Today I returned from a relaxing weekend with my best friend Carl. He moved north of Asheville, NC only a few weeks ago, so it was great to see his now home and experience a weekend of true mountain life. He lives only miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, so we did our fair share […]

“The lake and the mountains have become my landscape, my real world.” ~Georges Simenon I admit, mountains appeal to me much more than lakes. The combo, however, is hard to argue with. 🙂

The skies in Grand Teton National Park change by the minute, and they often produce sunrise and sunset spectaculars day-in and day-out. North of Grand Teton National Park, just shy of the Yellowstone National Park south entrance, is Flagg Canyon Trail. It’s a beautiful trail that runs north to YNP along a fabulous river canyon overlook. Last year this area was part of thousands of acres that fell victim to a forest fire. One year later, the contrast […]

The famed Moulton Barn on Mormon Row in the Tetons never grows old (figuratively speaking). It is classical and magical, regardless of season!

Project 365 – Day 102 I’m still loving the dogwoods while they last. Their blooms will not be with us much longer, but for now, they rock! They are like a cherished family member or friend you only see once a year. While together, you seek to maximize your visit and build lasting memories. Fuji […]
