Project 365 – Day 109
Each year our former church celebrates graduating seniors. It’s a very special day, and very well done. For several years now, I’ve been taking head shots of each senior for this special day. These are displayed in 11×14 print at a lunch/reception and given to each senior at the end. Kathy and I have known many of these kids since their preschool days, so it’s both fun and special to play a small part. Today was our photo shoot for this year’s event.

April 18 is a very special day! It’s Emily’s special day, ,and it was only appropriate that we would have dinner at Dominick’s. It’s one of her favorites. And of course, we had to finish the evening off with some cupcake awesomeness at home.
I love and adore you, Emily!

Kathy adores roosters. Our kitchen is full of rooster fixtures. So on this Friday, with the week finally winding down, I decided to photograph one of our metal roosters and turn it into something we can hang on the wall and add to the collection.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport – 4700 acres, 31,000 parking spaces, 1,300 toilets, 25,000 chairs, 53,000 light bulbs, >250,000 passengers per day, and the busiest airport in the world. It’s good to be home!

Project 365 – Day 103
There are times when, photographically, I feel creatively blocked. To help break through, it’s fun to try something different like blending multiple textures and/or images. This allows me to selectively play with color combinations and impressionistic feelings, much like I could imagine a painter doing. As I “play”, shapes begin to form and ideas emerge. Creativity slowly returns to the surface.
Today was a long day of driving in rain for 6+ hours. Showers ran the gamut, with everything from downpours to annoying mist, and from rural Georgia to Atlanta rush hour.

I’m still loving the dogwoods while they last. Their blooms will not be with us much longer, but for now, they rock! They are like a cherished family member or friend you only see once a year. While together, you seek to maximize your visit and build lasting memories.

Project 365 – Day 101
Meet Amy and Chris! They are a beautiful couple who has asked me to photograph their May wedding. We’ve been capturing a few engagement images to use at the wedding, and this was a favorite of mine from today. I have known Chris and his family since he was a small boy. He is an outstanding young man, of whom I know his parents are extremely proud!
Amy and Chris are not only an amazingly cute, happy couple, but they are also incredibly grounded in their faith. They live and met in Greece, each having moved there as missionaries. We spent lunch together a couple of weeks ago, and I learned so much about refugees fleeing from Syria and Pakistan through Greece. Amy, Chris, and others are sharing the love of Christ with these incredibly desperate people, giving them hope in a time of uncertainty and brutality. I pray for a fun wedding, a joyful marriage, and for blessings as they resume their unselfish work in Greece this fall.

Wisteria is another one of my spring southern favorites. It grows on a vine, typically in trees or along fences. It can be invasive, but nite quite as overtaking as kudzu and much prettier. This group grows is along a random tree line and overgrowth area near our home. I love the splash of violet against the plush greenery. It is vibrant, both visually and in scent.
